There is little time I have left with you my impressions of the Porsche 911 GT3. Even now I'm still in love with this car (Tiffany ... call me). However, love is blind and everyone is a critic.
Just after the publication of this piece, I got a text from a friend who has published a unique study on the Lamborghini Huracán. He simply stated " No way GT3 can follow a Huracán. " Well my limited resources never going to do that Track test to happen, but I have access to a pair Huracáns of ...
So why not see what the hype is about?
Let's just out of the way; this is not a rehash of writing instead of Baruth in Road & Track. This is my lesser ability to drive and writing talent on a shorter runway filtered through my time with the new baby Lambo. The shorter track is key, because when JB Lambo gave to the company, I also received a text photo of a record 176 mph recorded on the dashboard. I do not have enough track or skills to match it.
Not that I would not try ...
I always loved Lamborghinis. I would even bet money my first exposure was the same as yours. The opening scene of "The Cannonball Run" with Tara Buckman out of the door of black scissors and express its opinion on the speed limit and 55 mph
I loved them, but I like them. they seemed to be beautifully designed but the delicate machines. they are never really had the credibility of the records of their Italian neighbors and certainly not the collection of tracks from my beloved Stuttgart crew. I was driving one until 2014 when I 'm behind the wheel of a Gallardo trio at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit. I had a chance to drive both wheel drive and rear wheel drive versions. They are not bad cars, but even with my slender frame 6 feet riders to fitting inside became difficult and, after a while, a bit painful as my helmeted head has always been slightly inclined.
So when I first exposed to Huracán, I dismissed it as a modern Gallardo and went back to dry-humping the GT3. However, on Saturday morning found me behind the wheel of the big red beast. You know, so chalk up the check, but it is compatible with people. Not only taller people, but too short. The Gallardo was not only painful for big people, but difficult for short; the seat is not simply the amount of movement. It is much more usable.
This does not mean that the Lambo went all "normal." The dashboard is always crystal display aggressive, even for the gauges and control center of the display combo environment. Both theHuracán Aventador and were inspired by the shape of the F-117 Stealth Fighter, so jagged corners permeate the style. Unlike McLaren, which feels almost sterile by comparison, is unapologetically a Lamborghini Huracán, as any before it. That's a good thing.
The next aspect unapologetic of the car is the 602 horsepower V10 bomb behind the driver.
Saint.
Freaking.
Shit. (This is not what I said, but we both have jobs we'd like to keep)
This surge came from a customer who had literally only leads a car a whole life: a 1967 Camaro has spent 327 cu V-8. So when I asked her to step on the gas and drive on the track, she literally stomped on the accelerator . The AWD and stability control kept the car did before, but barely. The demonic roar was enough to interrupt the session in the classroom next to the track ... second floor.
The transmission eight-speed changes click off gently and smoothly as you expect, or with the paddles on the left side or on his capable devices. The only possible drawback is the occasional reluctance to downshift when left in "Strada", which, if you are on a track that you should not do. However, if you are in the right seat, next to a sophomore in college who never anything more powerful than Honda Pilot Mom dragged you absolutely leave the car in "Strada." Do not worry. Acceleration is more than enough to cause an audible gasp. Even more impressive is put to turnover Huracán. An entry well executed on turn 12 and complete gas demand Hallett build speed so fast, every customer would lift I rode with before marker ½-way down the main straight.
Even in New Jersey, the incredibly tight Englishtown track with noisy people, I should say verbally anyone from raising the short straight. This is still a Lamborghini and it still scares people. They just made their own. The difference in this car and your fast M3 is further away than the distance between the same and my M3 1966 El Camino.
In this light, I began to understand the demand for Jack on the Huracán. He is explosive and accelerates like nothing you've experienced. It is wildly expressive, communicative than you expect, and more frightening than most can imagine. It is blisteringly fast and outrage that every Lamborghini should be.
is where I start the story. The Lamborghini Huracán is staggering effect. It is the definition of a "supercar" and, in this sense, beyond light years from the 911 GT3 - even the GT2. Audi guts inside are much more reliable than any star in "The Cannonball Run" or the litany of knock-offs and suites. The style will always command attention from downtown Dallas to your local car and coffee.
as advanced and capable as it is on a tight track, it is not a race car. Even under the direction of Audi, the lack of a Lamborghini racing heritage shows. the 458 Italia car will eat without breathing heavy, but Ferrari will always feel more like a driver's car. the Nissan GT-R cleans up any mess you make like your mother when you have the flu, but will Huracán Stomp effort without forgetting.
None of this is important, because the Lamborghini Huracán is not a car for the track or beat the other cars. It is an incredible achievement. while most these specimens will spend too much time in garages or cruising South Beach, the Huracán is a really great car. You can actually live with one of these days, but it was built to a very narrow niche.
The Lamborghini Huracán is a car for fans of the Bull. It is the fulfillment of a visual and audible promise in 1981 when we saw the scissor doors opened for the first time. There is a car built for those who really like Lamborghini, and honestly, it's about damn time.

Lamborghini has contributed absolutely nothing to the review. It has been studied over 18 different days in the tracks in Oklahoma, Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey with coaching Xtreme Xperience, burning their gas and using their tires when driving and riding in their collection of exotic plants. Christian was offset by Xtreme Xperince, but they had no influence on the outcome of this review.
Christian "Mental" Ward has owned more than 70 cars and destroyed most of them. Next month, he will be racing with these brothers Baruth madcap Michigan. You can follow this impending debacle Twitter, Instagram and Vine M3ntalward.
